I didn't like the finish, but it makes sense if they want to do the third match in the Cell. Cena got in a lot of offense, and it made Brock look human, which isn't necessarily a terrible thing. Brock also showed guts and tenacity by kicking out of 3 FU's and surviving the STF. Hopefully Heyman makes a note of that tomorrow.
My other thought is this follow-up made the SS match look like a fluke. "Cena wasn't on his game that night and that's why he got dominated" or some shyt similar to that.
Brock shouldn't be looking human right now, though. It's month
two of an eight month story. The overriding concern should be making sure that Brock looks as unstoppable as possible, so that when somebody new beats him (whether it's Reigns, Bryan, Ambrose or whomever) they get the biggest rub possible out of the win.
It doesn't matter just how much punishment you've had him take, in this case you've already made the monster look beatable, which is a big no-no. You've cracked Brock's aura far too early in the story (and in a shytty and forced manner nonetheless). It's nothing more than basic storytelling, which WWE hasn't had a grasp on for a very, very long time.
