If Durants capable of dropping 8 dimes and scoring 30+ on a given night, what do the thunder really need Russel for?:mindblown:
Durant is becoming a point guard:ooh:

People have been saying it for years, and now we finally see the type of player he can be without Russell. No slight to Russ. I'd like to see him on his own team as well
Smart people have been saying it for years :wonka:

Dumb people have been saying Durant aint that type of player and the Thunder cant win if Russ dont shoot 25 times :lolbama:

They know who they are.

Seems like nikkas wanna forget that Russ had never missed a game and OKC had to adjust without him IN the playoffs. And when you lose arguably a top 5 player that averages what he averages of course we were going to struggle, but let you nikkas tell it Russ didn't play the whole year and KD couldn't get it done.

Thunder/TSC
I think the point is how good can OKC be with a top nba center instead of Westbrook (which they could get for Westbrook) combine that with Jacksons solid pg play plus lamb and perry jones (both who will only get better in my opinion) AND Durant taking more shots/playmaking like he has been and the Thunder are a more complete team. I say they'd be sure to win a title actually.

Bottom line: Durant can't reach his full potential with Westbrook. People have been saying it for years, and now we finally see the type of player he can be without Russell. No slight to Russ. I'd like to see him on his own team as well

:childplease:

KD has been rounding out his game more since Harden left, out of the needs of the team. Russy not being there hasn't had anything to do with what he is doing now outside of he takes more shots. He was trying to start being more of a passer last year since Harden wasn't around & he knew he would have to do a better job looking for the other guys. The only things KD has done differently since Russy went down is take more shots/scoring & he has worked more with Serge who needs someone to set him up (Russy used to be THE guy that determined what kind of game Serge was going to have because he was the only one really setting him up).

Russy isn't holding back KD. That's just the narrative when they lose & Russy has more shots.

So you think they could win it all without him now?

There isn't a realistic trade scenario for russy he would require a top 15 player or multiple top 30 players to come back....I think Kendrick, 1st rd pick for a big is more feasible.
