Not really listening to the album, but my favorite joints of the album stays in ration.
As far as Ross's album I'll only play like 3 joints of that album, "replay value" wasn't even close to Nas's album.

hip-hop the ONLY GENRE where a fans favorite artist dops an album then a month later its "played out"

the music not the problem its this mindstate that "fans" have... and the mjority of hip-hop fans are younger so they dont appreciate music like that..

It's not the only genre, genres like indie rock or indie rock they'll say artists are played out after their debut album specially if they sign to a major or change their style. Pop as well. As far as disrespecting legends, yes hiphop is :smh:.

Only on 'the internet' do people listen to the same album for like two months straight everyday, like it's some kind of benchmark of an album with staying power....I didn't listen to 'Stillmatic' for 8 weeks, or 'The Blueprint', or 'The Blueprint 3', they usually get heavy play for about three weeks, then single tracks, here and there, then you bring it back. I'm playing 'Stay' right now, just for the record. Esp. in this day and age, of constant music, songs, mixtapes, everything, it's not like 2001-2002, when an artist came with his album, and that WAS IT. You either listened to it, or not, but you knew you wouldn't hear from them for awhile.
