So who was ACTUALLY more over in the e&c / hardy boyz / dudley boys fued?

I think they won like what? Two back to back Manias? 16 and17? I never watch 16 but they went over the most watched Attitude Era of them all in 17. They definitely found their little niche in protecting Edge during that whole time. Dude was kept completely away from all of those Austin stunners too

Did they win that first Ladder match with the Hardyz back at No Mercy 99 too? I forgot even how that match went.

I'm not quite sure. Edge is like what I've always talked about. They chose him for WHATEVER reason to stand out...he had been around since Summerslam 98...Christian came in as his brother and they were originally both sidekicks for Gangrel but he fell off quick after the blood gimmick. But nothing really bad happened to Edge in 99-2000. He kept winning in tag teams and played a comedy heel on the mic...he LOST to the Rock and Kane or someone in those little weird single's matches they do every once in awhile but that was it. They kept punking the shyt out of the Hardyz and the Dudleyz when it MATTERED. Then they did the break up angle in 2001 and he just kept on looking good..even had him win a match with the SMOKING HOT RVD at the time..they traded wins or some shyt. RVD won the Hardcore title defense and he won the IC title match. Slick shyt like that.
Edge protecting to me back in the day was confusing . Did they love his over the top rope flips and the way he knocked out essa rios ? I think it boils down to having the look and ladies finding him attractive . It took the Matt hardy situation to get him real heat not that we hate you edge heat . He grew on me eventually but his wrestling fell off for a good portion of his Main event run he was too Injured and not the same performer . Christian in this tna run though

I always enjoyed Edge from day 1, even before the Brood. Not sure why, but I just did. He reminded me of Kanyon with some of the moves. The Flatliner, Electric Chair Drop, Spear, Impaler DDT. I was just a fan of his moveset and thought he was a good worker. When I stopped watching the E after 2002 I saw that Edge DVD recently and didn't realize he ended up being such a major player in the company as a singles guy.
Ladies finding him attractive? You must not have watched Edge during his run..he didn't get those kind of pops. Now dudes may like making of Matt Hardy for being an idiot and Edge taking Lita from him but that never wasa big deal with female fans. He wasn't nowhere near over with females. The Rock was stanned the most by females..because they used it to make it a big deal when they rounded up all the numbers in the Wrestling observer and in all his articles.

Road Dogg remained pretty over in 1999. Fans were starting to turn on them heavily in most Rock/Austin/Foley angles they involved. Billy Gunn died off and Road Dogg stayed over for awhile....the Rock kind of buried his whole style before Survivor Series 99 though. Kind of hard to come back from that.
What is wrong with you ?? I didn't mention rock at all we all know rock is great damn man . Edge didn't get that much love of course but that was wwe logic that the ladies loved edge ( one of many wrestlers they liked) I remember the dirt sheet talking about wwe wanting him to cut his hair but he was afraid that he'd lose his women fans
bro why must everything tie back into the rock with you ? At their peak I was asking how over were they to people here . Them and chyna were way more entertaining to me than hhh
