Im discussing my stance is that 16 games is pretty small sample size in itself, and since its 1 game series in the playoffs you can be by far the best team in course of 18 games and still lose the bowl.

hence your point about the giants being the best team in 07 I disagree with. giants just proved the old axiom that a great defense is more likely to get you a championship. it took a valiant defensive effort and some amazing miracle clutch throw and catches to get that W for the Giants.

I'm really not though.. the '98 Vikings are a good example of a team that to me was clearly the best, but had a bad game against the Falcons.
