Cavanaugh is going to get confirmed regardless, no way any Rethugs vote against him.

Not sure it'd make sense for them to risk the wrath of the deplorables to help confirm someone that was going to get confirmed anyway.

He's not guaranteed. 2 female Republican senators (can't remember their names) said they wouldn't vote for anyone who would reverse Roe v. Wade. Kavanaugh apparently told them privately that he wouldn't (or at least implied that). If those 2 senators decide they think Kavanaugh is lying, he might be rejected.

Libertarian calling for everyone to face lie detector tests?
Lie detector tests are frauds too. If you tested 50 people in the White House, you're probably have at least 4-5 people test as lying when they denied and only be 50-50 or worse that the actual writer was one of them. Someone who expresses nervousness while testing is more likely to fail, regardless of whether they are telling the truth or not, than an experienced and confident liar.

Trump has narrowed his list of suspects to 12 people:

Trump has reportedly narrowed his list of New York Times op-ed suspects down to 12

How dumb is this. :laff:

First off, either you know who wrote it or you don't, you can't "narrow" the list down. How can you actually "know" that someone didn't write it until you know who wrote it? :gucci:

Second of all, the fact that there are 12 senior administration officials, all appointed by Trump, that Trump thinks would actively oppose their own president. :russ:

Third, that that doesn't even include all the people he's already fired.

Fourth, if Trump does figure out who did it and fires him, then either that person denies it (making Trump look stupid and costing him an ally), or they say they didn't write it but they agree with the sentiment (making Trump look stupid AND adding to the weight of evidence against him) or they admit they wrote it and then go public with more (adding credibility to the initial allegations).

p.s. - I so hope Pence is on Trump's narrowed-down list. :lolbron:

This shyt never got settled did it? :ohhh:
The Trump 'Resistance' loves GOP collaborators like Miles Taylor. But who's playing who?

.On Wednesday, Anonymous outed himself as Miles Taylor, a security expert, Google employee and paid CNN contributor who served in the Department of Homeland Security at the time that he wrote the famous op-ed. Specifically, Taylor was deputy chief of staff to then-Secretary Kristjen Nielsen — a role that does not amount to a “senior” anything.

Y'all are welcome!

Edit: I only voted Pence because there was no "Random nobody" option.:hubie:
