He's only got 2 years left apparently, and Prok wasn't exactly raving about him when he spoke in November. I think he said something like "We're ok, we just need some luck and players healthy and we'll be ok".

When his contract was extended we were coming off a solid 1st season and Prok still had high hopes for that team. Since then we've had the Boston trade which is an all time disaster, which you know was bad since Prok had them back off re-signing Pierce in order to save $. He's gone from "I'll spend whatever lets win" to "Wait this roster blows cut some money off the tax bill".

And the Kidd thing I think was more "fukk Kidd for going behind our backs" instead of "we choose Billy over Jason".

While I still think he may support Billy to an extent, I don't think he feels the same way he did 18 months ago when he extended his contract.

Maybe this Darius Morris signing will change their minds :troll:

The rumors were out on twitter that the guy they were signing was a non-guaranteed scrub, Prok seems to have made it pretty clear that if we're gonna suck then cut the tax bill.

I'm honestly more excited for any potential trade rumors than our games. We are depressing to watch, trade rumors for D-Will, Joe, and Brook are the only thing worth talking about.

Im in the same boat..its like back to jersey all over again..we'll have cap space attempt to attract free agents, end up over paying scrubs then make a parallel trade that sounds good but will end up shytt in the long run.
..it was fun while it lasted ..why do i like this team :bkcry:

While we may not get the huge stars, I think we have become a more attractive spot now that we're in BK. If we can just be a competitive team and be in the playoffs I'm happy, its all I've ever expected from the Nets.

When I was 10 after Jordan retired in 98, I decided to pick a team after just being a Jordan fan from the first time I saw him on TV. The choices were the Knicks and Nets since I wanted a team where I could watch all their games. After watching all those Jordan/Knicks battles I said I would never root for that team, so the Nets were my choice. I will never regret my decision, as bad as it may get this is my team :to:

My pops took me to the draft at the garden when i was a kid when we drafted Kenny Anderson... That's when it started.. When we got steph it made it worse..then the bk move.. even as a kid i hated the knicks.. Esp because because i liked scottie and mike and Reggie..never will root for them

We looked much better tonight, better than we have in a few weeks in terms of ball movement. Joe finally found his shot again which was a huge help

Plumlee and Jefferson balled out, but Mase my god please fix that fukking hitch in your FT :scust:

While we did look great, a lot of that was helped by how fukking garbage Charlotte is. I know they played 2OT last night but they shocked me how bad they are. I thought they were a lock for the playoffs, right now they are a lock for a top 8 pick.

Miami, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit next week. Huge games in there, we need the Miami and Detroit games and if we steal one from Toronto or Cleveland for a 3-1 week that would be a huge bonus. But 2-2 is the minimum we should be.

Billy really tryna shake things up :lupe:..im not a big stephenson fan esp with him here in BK......Straight from WOJ..

The Nets have talked with Charlotte on the possibility of a deal for Stephenson, a Brooklyn native, and have been scouring the league for intel on Stephenson, sources told Yahoo. Charlotte has had a willingness to consider taking center Brook Lopez, whom they nearly signed to an offer sheet in 2012, in a trade, league sources said. The two teams have exchanged ideas, but Brooklyn has been mostly spending time trying to investigate the risks and rewards of possible scenarios with Stephenson.

Charlotte has been open to discussing the Nets' big-salary stars as part of a broader Stephenson package, including Lopez and Joe Johnson, sources said. The combination of a third year on Deron Williams' deal – as well as the emergence of Walker as the franchise's point guard – leaves Charlotte uninterested in acquiring Williams, league sources said.

If we were in any state besides the tri state i say yeah..but him ..in BK???.. :dead:

It would be a disaster from game 1. He wouldn't pass the entire first half tryin to show out, Hollins would try to pull him and he'd refuse to leave the court leading to a brawl.
And Hollins would prolly beat his ass too :lolbron:
