One of these characters has been sonning the other for the better part of sixty years.

Doom embarrassed this guy in Unthinkable...he did what Reed couldn't. He was able to save Valeria and Sue.

Ehhh...Thing has knocked the Hulk out on occasion, too.

It was Doom's thinking that was the difference maker at the end of Onslaught. Not Reed. I don't really recall Reed frustrating Doom..Doom outsmarted Reed and everyone in the Secret Wars too..he kind of tried to run to Magneto for help but they all stopped it before it got out of hand.

Doom knows magic to the point of almost being a sorcerer supreme, created doombots so advanced that people think they're actually interacting with the real Doom, and on top of that, Doom created a working time machine. Hardest thing I saw was when Osborne and SHIELD blew up his castle in Latveria on some "oops, ah well" shyt and Doom just stood there for a second...activated the time machine device he had in his armor, and brought back the entire fukking estate from the past, and simply walked back into his castle.

I think Doom doesn't do half the shyt he's really capable of doing just because he doesn't have to. Like its been said, his ego holds him back.

Reed is smarter, but Doom has greater knowledge, if that makes sense. Also, Reed's life is basically about making that brain work and create new shyt, whereas Doom only uses his intelligence as a tool to get what he wants.
