Langston Hughes wasn't born a middle class Black person...

The Harlem Renaissance had middle class Black people in it...people who were born middle class like Lorraine Hansberry..but their contributions aren't really central to the movement


Jazz, Blues, Zoot suits...the drugs...the dances..the clubs...the poetry...the sexual deviancy...the slang...the politcs

Tariq Nasheed, Boyce Watkins and Black Authority is a prime example of Black middle class politics.

Black middle class is regressive. Their ideas are regressive and excluding the majority of Black people.
