So why are they talking about Leonard Fournette sitting out a year?

Houston drafted Clowney #1 last year who was just as dominant in college and he spent his junior year taking it EZ after a dominant sophomore year. They still waiting on his first sack. Mike Williams sat a year, Maurice Clarett sat 2 and ended up trash

Bro he's not sitting because he doesn't love the game

He's sitting to insure he's healthy enough to play in the league

I viewed Clowney playing half ass his last year at South Carolina as a character flaw. If a player isn't willing to play 100% and give his all on the football field, why would I as a team place such an investment into him? Clarett was dominant just like Fournette in college and he had to sit and wait for the NFL draft but he bullshytted and drank grey goose during the time off and his skills eroded even at 21-22. It would be hard for Fournette at age 20 to mimick practice and playing conditions for a whole year not being on a team and it would be hard for him to not bullshyt around. Talent erosion is real too, that's harder to overcome than most injuries

That's his right to do so, why risk having a career ending injury before you get drafted. Most scouts already have seen enough of him to know he has elite skill and upside and RB translates almost seamlessly into the NFL. It's just white people and disgruntled fans want the players to propel their respective schools to victory consequences be damned.

lol The sports analysts are the only people talking about "he should sit out a year". Fournette already came out and said he would never do that shyt.

I will never jump ship... I'm drowning with my brothers

Injuries can always happen, this year, next year, his rookie season etc.. all this talk about sitting out is just talk by the talking heads. He isn't going to actually do so, I don't think any top player would.
