ATL…overly
It's You Haters who keep on moving the goal posts. Literally in this alone thread it has gone from

"He clearly choked in those playoff losses"

"Well he didnt play as good as his regular season numbers"

"He played mediocre (pulls up stats) well he ONLY played above average, he should have been elite every game"

Who's a hater? :wtf:

Peyton is a top 5 GOAT QB & 1st ballot HOFer. I'm not saying he's terrible, but he's clearly been off his game in the playoffs. The sample size is 20 games. It's been proven. He's not as good in the playoffs as he is in the regular season that is a statistical fact. Anybody trying to deny that is delusional.

the colts game, the chargers game even tho his team bailed him out, the ravens game in 2012 he also got bailed out that game, also against the broncos
none of those was a pick six or the superbowl. You guys are really dense.

personally, peytons biggest problem in the offs is that...hes himself

hes so good in terms of accuracy and reading defense that he trusts himself a bit too much. he'll thread the needle 9 out of 10 times in his prime, but the 9th time cb will jump the route or something

it isnt a problem in a reg. season game because theres not that much pressure. at the very worst, you lose that game. in playoffs, it's different stakes.

that's why I always say the best qb isnt the one with godlike talent like peyton, its the one who adapts to situation and makes the best decisions depending on the circumstances.

if it's a close one score playoffs game, late with with a lead, you want your qb to throw the ball away on ANYTHING that isnt open on a pass play. its not fatal to punt. it's ok to not trust yourself and not throw that slant that worked 9 times out of 9 to your slot guy.

because that 1 time out of 10 or 20, will be fatal to you.

its really ironic that the time peyton had the superbowl run, he :

had 3 tds, 6 picks overall
defense and vinietari literally won a game for him against the ravens, where he had zero tds, 2 picks
threw 3 picks, but defense and vinietari 'won a game' for him against the chiefs, just like people like to say defense vinietari won games for pats before (seriously kc had SEVEN first downs the entire game. SEVEN :mindblown:)
in the superbowl the bears committed 5 turnovers

this superbowl run was ironically a terrible run for peyton as a hof-caliber qb, save that pats game.

Baltimore picked up my man Steve, so I was on the bandwagon. That was one ugly and frustrating game to watch

yup, to me it shows it takes a TEAM to win in the playoffs 90% of the time. Not just 1 person.

Look at Brady, he's a much better QB now then what he was in his 3 SB years, yet HIS D got shytty, special teams slacked and he hasn't seen a ring since.

Same reason Brady can't...only QB I have seen play at such a level in the playoffs is Rodgers when they won.

thing with brady and other great qbs like montana is when given the oppotunity for u to when the game they usually deliver... to me thats where i grade the qb, not stats but that moment and see if he delivers... thing with payton is he only does that in the regular season.

Didn't Brady end his season with a interception last Playoffs too? :bryan:

Stop acting like this man hasn't had stink bombs in the playoffs as well. Truth be told Manning and Brady have put their teams in positions to win in the playoffs about equally. Whether the team has delivered is another story, some times they have and not not for both players.
