Spotify's the best ... and has the most users. But I'm liking Tidal in this free trial. It's better than Apple's service IMO. I hated that.

I dont stream music.... :heh:

And it's not because he's a black owner. I'm all about black excellence in the form of ownership. I'm more pissed about his business model and the underhanded tactics tidal has employe such as still charging customers who cancelled their subscription and the whole launch video with all the artists complaining about not getting a fair shake when these artists are already multimillionaires themselves. the fukking audacity of these muthafukkas. :heh:

I could understand if they was a group of unsigned artists and struggling rappers, singers and musicians who wanted to use the internet to make a statement but to me it just looked like... :scust: You made your millions now you acting like you was persecuted... What about that cat who wants to be the next nas but no label wants to sign him? Or the next destiny's child group that wants to sing but R&B is a dying artform.

I just dont see Tidal being that bastion for creativity and growth like it should have been.

I don't know I always figured it was part of the subscription. I think for sure the 24/7 Always On Radio with the exclusive stations is Subscription only :yeshrug:
Nah, I just checked. BeatsOne is free. I was asking because people always mention it and I never check it out. It's free.

This is a tired ass talking point. Sure, they misfired but the whole idea of using all those stars is that without them you would never hear about the service and they could not compete with Spotify and Apple Music. Ever heard of Pono by Garth Brooks? You ever use Samsung MIlk? Exactly. I don't agree with their tactic, but it was a year ago, at this point it sounds corny. "Not a passion of growth and creativity?" What on earth are you talking about? Tidal literally has a TIDAL RISING section just for new artists and a TIDAL DISCOVERY SECTION for unknown artists. An idea Apple Music is basically jacking. Who else is giving Money and Violence an outlet? Who else is letting Cipha Sounds shoot a comedy show? Who put out an independent black Western film? They have put these no name people on stages at Made in America and other festivals.

All I said was how they started seemed disingenuous... :heh: The presentation could have been much better...

The white man's ice is colder :mjpls:

I have no horse either, I just go with whoever gives me the best deal. But that doesn't change that Tidal sound quality is the best.

As far as increasing ur listening experience, well that depends on your musical taste. If all you listen to is hip-hop then that's one thing, but there's no way you get all the different genres of music from the 70s-80s-90's that are on these services. I've discovered so much stuff that I've never heard before on these streaming services.
:manny:
hip hop ain't the only genre i listen to.
have my pops and uncles (six of them) as far as old school music is concerned.
and their tastes are so wide and varied, i always hear something new every time i visit them.
and the occasional day or two that i have free, i have been on youtube and believe me, i always find lots of gems.
:ehh:i get what you're saying, i guess i just have not been caught and reeled in yet.happy with my current situation!!

the best coast
spotify has more music and all my favorites are saved on there :manny:

i don't have anything against tidal but them getting exclusive releases just pisses me off, doesn't make me want to buy it

if the service is really the best then i'll switch

kind of a bytch move for them to pull people in on a gimmick

fukk a exclusive

the rip on my phone sounds a1 :ahh:

i have no horse in this race
i have not joined any streaming site!!
i have no clue why joining one of these sites should somehow increase my music-listening experience!!!
:manny:
This.

There's ten times more music out there on soundcloud, youtube, google, nodata, NTS radio, rinsefm, mixcloud, what do any of these sites have to offer me?

Ofcourse the on average the coli doesn't have as much vast experience with music as they claim...most don't even fukk with anything outside of hip-hop and R&B/.

And there's so much music out there thats NOT on any of those sites. It's like...do you even lift?> LOL

I just think being frustrated because of a service other people are NOT using is funny.

"Y'all not praising Tidal. I'm "

Does it matter? If you find it to be a quality product and like it, isn't that all that matters?

I use Colgate toothpaste but I don't get mad when I see someone at the store grabbing Crest. fukkin difference does it make? :what:

Youtube has mad vinyl rips that would never appear on any of those streaming sites due to copyright reasons.

I've checked out the catalog of alot of those sites, and as someone who collected vinyl heavy and was into the indie game and still is on a very prominent level I was actually unimpressed many times with the catalog of music that was on Spotify. Apple music is better...but not by much.

But I can't hate, there's good stuff on all of those...but it's not like I couldn't find 99.9% of those releases with just a google search.

I don't watch much original webseries either...I don't fukk with netflix or hulu.
