So, why do y'all hate TIDAL so much?

Ever think some folks were using streaming services for YEARS before tidal came out and have no reason to switch?

And there is nothing wrong with that. I think the op is asking the cats who go out of their way to shyt on it for no reason. These cats even go so far as to criticize it for the same things its competitors are guilty of, but you never hear a negative word about those apps from them.

It doesn't offer anything the others don't and the others already have a backlog of their own music people have uploaded.

Honestly Google Music is the best bang for your buck right now because you also get Youtube red.

:ehh:
I thought it had original content...a drama series and a comedy series.
Presale tickets for concerts and festivals
Exclusive content and ticket giveaways to their many livestreamed concerts
and the occaisional live boxing/press conference stream

Tidal isn't doing themselves any favors either with all the blunders they've been having. They fukked up Rihanna's album, they're also fukking up Kanye's album as well. This shyt is the number one post on reddit right now:

Why is almost no one talking about how Tidal has taken THOUSANDS of people's money for a download of Kanye West's new album, not given them the album, and are not answering their help and support tickets? • /r/Music

That's not really on Tidal though, Kanye out here losing his Goddamn mind, announcing the album, premiering the album on Tidal and THEN talking about he has to "Fix" things and delaying the actual sale of it. The ball is really in Kanye's court on that one.

If I was Jay-Z I'd be more than a little pissed at "Little Brother" and his antics. The album is just FINE as is. And if he wasn't completely 100% satisfied with the product he shouldn't have announced it for the initial date of the 11th, he shouldn't have went on A Twitter rant calling it the best album EVER, and he shouldn't have dropped it an "unfinished" version on Tidal. Just tacky

What post is that because I don't see it? You say that Jay Z isn't the owner and I'm asking you who is? There's nothing to explain, just state the name of the owner(s).
Jay has a stake and it's not majority. He's not "the owner".

There's like 17 artists, an invester and a group of music distributors that own tidal.

Tidal pissed me off with their whole "use us so the artists makes more money" pitch. And then the app was weak AF. No offline features so I coould have music on the subway AND they were lacking songs and albums that I used to listen too on Spotify.
I have the offline feature on Tidal (mobile phone or tablet). what songs are lacking? You can always ask them to load. Basically everything on Spotify or Apple can be on Tidal if you drop them a message

Again, who is the owner? If Jay Z isn't majority stake owner then who is? You said that Jay wasn't the owner in the first post I quoted. My question is who owns it if Jay doesn't? Where are you getting your info from?

I'm not moving to Tidal for the simple fact I've been using Spotify for years and all my playlists are in it. Not to mention Spotify has better 3rd party support. The home A/V receiver I bought a couple months ago had Spotify built into it. It comes on a lot of smart TV's and shyt like that out of the box. It's just easier and I see no advantage that Tidal has over it. Those credits on each song are cool, but I'm not really interested in that. If it's there fine, but if it isn't it doesn't affect me. As far as the sound quality being better on Tidal, again, this is one of those things where I feel like two people are arguing over which amount you'd rather have. 1.2 billion dollars or 1.5? I mean sure, I'd like to have the 1.5 but I'm gonna still have loads of fun with 1.2. Point is, it's not drastic enough to pull me away. I'm making that judgement based on everything I've read about the Tidal service.

The hate it got even on the coli let you know how ingrained our self hatred is. Even if i didn't like it I wouldn't contribute to cacs joyously tearing down a black business.

If you wanna know how oppressive cacs are, just try going out on your own businesswise and see them lose their shyt.

He is getting his info from out his ass. Jay is the owner of Aspiro. Tidals parent company and majority shareholder.

My only gripe with tidal is the misleading by jay during the rollout. He knows the average person doesn't understand the music and royalties and he used that to turn artist into the victims because they're too shook to go at the labels for the money the labels strong armed them out of or that they signed away.

other than that its just another streaming service
