One big reason is Beats1 radio (So many artists I fux with have been put on through it, UK getting a lot of love. OVOSound is alike an event, other artists getting their own shows )
The 3 month free trial was genius. I couldn't live without it after having it for free 3 months.
Just started using the tidal free trial (1 month) for this Kanye album. Only dopeness was I could watch the new money and violence ep
you can use Beats1 radio without an Apple subscription...
Until you can prove otherwise, why not?

Tidal pissed me off with their whole "use us so the artists makes more money" pitch. And then the app was weak AF. No offline features so I coould have music on the subway AND they were lacking songs and albums that I used to listen too on Spotify.

I'm not out to prove that he isnt the "owner" and you damn sure ain't proven that he is. Why is that burden of proof on me.
Last time I checked tidal was owned by a group of 16 artist, 1 major invester group, a group of record distribution companies and jay z.
So calling him the owner is false, he has some ownership and by all information we have its not a majority stake.. Honestly I'm a jay z Stan so I was happy as fukk when he "bought tidal". But then we found out that he's really one of many investors.

I messed with Tidal it just doesn't have enough of the music Iisten to (a lot of underground and old and new southern gangsta rap)...Spotify does happen to have these artist a lot of which even apple doesn't have which I also subscribe to but I will be stopping because setting up a family account is a pain.

The answer is simple: Jay Z. Jay brings the haters out. Whatever it is about him, people love to hate on this dude. nikkas in here talking about the roll out was wrong and all this bullshyt. It doesn't matter how they presented it; people was gon hate regardless.
I've really wanted to support Tidal but that first mover advantage is a motherfukker. Spotify has just held me down since 2013. I can't say I've had any reason to switch. I'm too adapted to their UI/UX.
Im a JayZ fan and I do want to support Tidal though, if they get more dope web series ala money and violence I'd do it. Plus I fukk with some of the giveaways and shyt they've had in the past (made in America, b side concert). I really didn't like all the media bashing against tidal last year, the shyt seemed so contrived, almost like it was a conspiracy or some shyt.
