His aura is still kind of goofy. He doesn't feel "metal" and that's supposed to be his gimmick. He's fine in the ring.
Right, The "metal" thing seems more of an aesthetic than any sort of coherent gimmick. there are elements of a character to build on but they're still not focused and cohesive really.
what's interesting with Corbin is to me is he almost seems too young/new for the persona he's trying to pull off - I feel like since his gimmick is rooted in his personality that time and experience will be the key to making the end product/"aura" come together. He has a better chance of naturally honing a more believable gimmick in the long run than say a dude like Ambrose who went all in on being a "lunatic" day 1 and never looked back, not even like a yearly patch to evolve your shyt dean? Nope, same as launch.
Best case scenario Corbin gets some rivalries that build a backstory to pull from other than what we got from his debut: basically "he's the lone wolf, he's an a$$hole" and he becomes more comfortable on the mic - could be hilarious if he called out mark crowds and attacked/inserted himself into feuds involving all their smark/indie favorites - The Smark Killer.
Also bulk the fukk up and grow a god damn mustache to connect that early 00's Kevin federline chin hair shyt.
