360 and ps3 both had some games with dedicated servers. Xbox one every game will have dedicated servers as well as full usage of cloud compute. Dedicated servers are expensive as shyt though.

You do realize that's going to mean publishers will phase out games sooner, right? When a new iteration of a game drops, they will simply shut down the previous games servers and dead multiplayer for it, forcing you to buy the new version.
