Games have been getting released unfinished for de cades.
Not decades. Big difference between bugs in ps2 era games and the huge game changing patches you see today, AAA titles like AC:Unity and ME:Andromeda wouldn't be allowed out the door in 2005. The games were less complex obviously but publishers accepted more intensive QA because they knew devs had only one shot.
But my point was I don't think this year's E3 is going to be any good, same for next year based on how backed up everyone seems to be. But I'm very excited for a 'boom' after that, when most regular people have current gen consoles.
