There was some dude on SOHH that broke down a bunch of their lyrics. He knew the origins of bunch of obscure 70's references they used. Or he just did a good job of making shyt up lol. But I remember (trying) to write down the lyric to Lucchini to figure out what was happening :pachaha:

lol

I kinda remember that thread.

uptown saturday night is underrated
i love how sonny cheeba wasn't rhyming at all on luchini but it sounded like he was rhyming his ass off somehow :wow:

I never noticed this.

and I know the words.

Funny cuz I saw these dudes live, caught geechy suede or whatever his name is outside the club having a cigarette started asking him about the 90's but he wasn't havin it. He ain't stuck in the past so why are you?

he prolly wanted to talk about the '70s instead.

I thoroughly cosign this thread.

One of my favorite groups ever.

It's raining Alize, nikkas...:wow:

Yo! I'd never checked the credits for the shyt they sampled for Coolie High but after watching that Discover Classic Samples Wax Only, I see it's Janet's Funny How Time Flies! :ohhh::gladbron::banderas:

:ohhh::mindblown:

Mind blown...never knew that, but you can definitely hear it in there in retrospect.

Exactly, same here. But I said the same thing, now that I know when I go back and listen I can tell. But they flipped that sample real nice. :banderas:

Listening to Uptown Saturday Night right now and Black Nostaljack just came on. :banderas:

I loved the fact the video was a spoof of Good Times and they was able to get Bernadette Stanis fine ass in the video. :noah:

They were gay acting and sus as hell, breh.
Only gay episode of rap city ever.
Where they weirded out Joe clair.

Came in here to say this. Production wise, the album is excellent.

I couldn’t ever get over these dudes voices and their homo sounding ad-libs. They weren’t tight rappers anyway, but the homo flare they had was too much for me.
