I think not, because in hip hop battling isn't just about lyrics. And that's all Lupe got is complex rhymes.

At first I was leaning towards Lupe because he's so lyrical, but I've never heard anything from him that says "battle rapper". He doesn't have a super aggressive style. Kendrick ain't exactly aggressive either, but Control and dissing Papoose in that BET freestyle prove that he can turn that switch on. And that was a lyricist battle when they faced off is a different beast from a hip hop battle, battling on record is a different beast. And Budden went into the enemy territory as an outsider. He didn't have a chance those dirty nails nikkas was there to boo Budden
