No we don't. Alot these ingredients a carcinogenic and can be removed from the product.

I see what you saying you want more reform, Unfortunately Sugar lobbying is one of the strongest groups. Plus if anything gets passed get ready for some deceptive ass marketing; 10 GRAMS OF PROTEIN!!

It’s crazy how well that shyt makes people forget about sugar or carb content.

:francis:we need better food regulation here

Ha! You already know these corporations are throwing the bag at the FDA.

Corporations, FDA, Government and Big Pharma are all in on it together.

Keep the people sick, give them pills as a bandaid and ban abortion so we can continue to repeat the cycle for the dollar.

We got it, that's why it says frozen "dessert" and not ice cream. Regulation is fine, the marketing is what's off. The products here tell you what they are, we just don't read it.

Glad I gave up most snacks and junk food years ago.

:mjlol:

Regulation starts with what chemicals can be added to so called food and how the actual food is harvested, raised, or produced….…… not the fukking marketing of the food product

I was in the food industry for damn near 10 years. "You" know it's a potential carcinogen because the food industry is "generally" transparent. They don't want to be sued because the profit margins on food are small; they can't afford for someone to sue them or worse a class action lawsuit. People don't read the shyt because the chemical names are difficult to read, and the marketing makes people just say "fukk it".

Believe me, the FDA and USDA are unbelievably...yet...APPROPRIATELY annoying. They will shut a company/product down over something trivial.

Yep. It's gonna take the policitians to take a stand. Esp with the rise of cancer in young people. This country loves war so much but can't keep its potential soldiers healthy cause of the food. It's crazy.

The marketing makes people ignore how it's basically something not good for you... :comeon:

I don’t disagree at all… I’m just saying if the FDA was really concerned about the health of the citizens, the regulations/restrictions would start on the ground level…. But at the end of the day you’re right…. There is enough info floating around that should encourage most people 50 and under to read the ingredients list of food items and make a decision from there….

I just wanna say when I went to European countries I went to the grocery stores.
They got the same brand names here, for snacks, cereals, everything.
But the ingredients are ALL different, it's all chemicals, fats and sugar here, but over there it's all healthy stuff.

There's almost no sugar in the food that are cereals and snacks in Europe.

Also look at how they make Gelato here, and check out how they make Gelato in Italy.
It's all sugar and chemicals here but it's all fruits and real food stuff in Italy, that's why it's no biggie if you eat Gelato every day in Italy.

Even the milk is better there I find
You might be preaching to the wrong crowd, alot of brehs have stockholm syndrome for america :heh:

I'm not denying the truth that some of our foods are probably toxic...I've seen how the hotdogs amongst 15-20 other types of food are made that are probably in your crib right now. Unless you can directly prove it's toxic, it won't get shut down, but as far as things that have proven links or outright banned, I have seen the lengths companies will go to throw/destroy food at the slightest chance it has an issue.

To give you an example, I saw one company I worked at throw out $10 million plus in product because it "froze" because it was in trailers in the polar vortex, even though freezing really had no effect on the quality of the food (it was soup).

The amount of shyt "I" personally deal with due to public perception of the finished good would make your head spin.
