they still tried to devalue his stock. just not as low as the movie portrayed. investors had to get their equity from somewhere & that nikka was all the way in new york :youngsabo:

Bill Gates & Steve Balmer tried to do the same to Paul Allen.

i read somewhere that the movie glossed over how much things costed in the beginning of Facebook.

Mark & Saverin both put up $1,000 equally to launch. Then, put up another $10,000 equally for more servers. Then, another $10,000 a piece.

Imagine putting all that money up initially & your boy try to cut you out :pacspit:

The guys who originally had the idea are the ones that really got screwed over.
eh...they had the idea of making a social network for their school. it's like me telling you "hey, i have a great idea for a movie, imagine a movie where the main character is a killer and he ends up getting a contract to kill his son..." and that's all i tell you.

and then you write the script/screenplay based on that vague premise, secure financing, produce and direct the movie and get it distributed. morally, maybe you should break me off a little something (and that's a big maybe since the idea was kinda vague to begin with). but legally, i don't think you owe me anything.

Wherever whores go.....
Lank nikka:wtb:

Gardner did get a chance to show his stuff in the Dean Witter training program (though we're sad to report his acceptance had nothing to do with solving a colorful puzzle game). But, as the more honest book version points out, he apparently wasn't quite the father the film made him out to be.

First, he was so focused on getting a job and earning his first million that, well, he actually didn't even know where the hell his son was for the first four months of the program.

Chris, Jr. was apparently living at this point in time with his mother, Jackie. Did we mention that the boy had been conceived when Gardner was still married to another woman?

In addition, instead of being arrested just before his big interview due to parking tickets ... well, it seems that Chris was actually arrested after Jackie accused him of domestic violence.
