And there’s an argument to be made that managers still pigeonhole black players into certain positions and roles.

Jose Mourinho is notorious for this. He singlehandly turned Obi Mikel from a dynamic "El Pibe" central midfielder into a plodding defensive midfield water carrier. FIFA and other footballing bodies have always taken the same stance on racism - paltry fines and insulting slaps on the wrist that will never serve as a deterrent. I wish Samuel Eto "no mas" walked from the pitch that he was getting abused by those Spanish knuckle draggers in the crowd. Unfortunately, I think that what needs to be done, although by doing so they will undoubtedly get punished more than the actual racists do.


FIFA and their ilk basically don't give a fukk so long as the money keeps rolling in.
