Jose Mourinho is notorious for this. He singlehandly turned Obi Mikel from a dynamic "El Pibe" central midfielder into a plodding defensive midfield water carrier. He loves to limit the skill sets of black players and limit them to roles like they are Gennaro Gattuso (who oddly is a manager now but that could be a whole nother thread on its own :mjlol:).
Look at what he doing to Pogba

I've lived in Europe for a while in different places. Ive been to many soccer games and the things they yell at black players are horrendous. I'm not black, so I know how people really feel. All of Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy, Portugal , Ireland, Scotland are racist as hell.

The only places were racism is less obvious are Germany, UK, Switzerland and other western European countries and that is mostly because racial slurs are punishable by law.

Soccer isn’t in denial about racism, it’s just indifferent. Whites are simply never going to stop being racist. Blacks who go to these teams/countries might as just get used to it.

How is it in these Asian countries for black players? Are they subjected to the same levels of racism by Asians?

I've seen both asian and european being racist towards black players. i can however genuinely say that the racist remark in countries in South east asiaare mostly rooted in ignorance and stupidity while in Europe its stirs from hate more than anything else.

They'll be even more racist.

You think a racist is gonna change his ways just cause his favorite sports team isn't doing well?
The point is to punish them not to do it in stadiums and not to bring it to football. It needs to be zero tolerance on bringing racism to the game. Football cannot cure racism in society.

I would like to say that Indonesia is better than other asian countries since we are a multiethnic, ranging from Chinese Indonesian, Sundanese , Flores to Austronesian ( who are the same ethnic group as aborigines ) and therefore we have our own "Black people" who are respected as vital part of the country.

But racism and tensions that stir up from time to time between the groups in the country cannot be denied.

I do however have a bunch of African american and African friends who are having a great life here. Thats mostly because the Indonesians don't see a difference between white foreigners and black foreigners.
