Depression ain't shyt, if you've ever had Social Anxiety.

Guarantee yall would rather have Depression than Social Anxiety.

Imagine your body, your nervous system in chronic Flight or Fight in every social situation: work, family, school, travelling ...due to some fukking trauma in childhood that your body/mind hasn't let go of. Being on a packed train was literally HELL for me. A group meeting :damn: a presentation :damn: a family gathering :damn: :damn: fukk every major holiday, fukk summer, fukk the mall, fukk traffic, fukk public transport, fukk church etc. Thank God for disabled toilets. Depression doesn't compare :yeshrug:

Overcame both though :wow: Social Anxiety is no joke, don't be judging quiet people, don't assume they are rude. Their mind is on high alert and they can't multitask, they either panicking or disassociating. Thank the most high for Porn.

shyt imagine dealing with social anxiety when part of your job is traveling to visit customer sites. I wouldn't sleep for like a week straight before having to go on a work trip because my social anxiety was kicking in. Then I'd get to the sites and be so nervous and out of sorts I wouldn't talk to anybody. Over time I learned to almost develop a fake persona I could put on when out and about around people to help cover it all up.

:dahell:

I'd much rather have social anxiety which many folks have gotten over simply by going out:dahell: At least there's shyt you could do by your lonesome like go on hikes, kayaking, riding bikes, video games, and side projects.

You can't do shyt if you got depression outside of spending money on a therapist & medicine.
To deal with my depression working out has worked wonder. That high after has always helped me bounce back. The downside of that is the few times I've had bad injuries and couldn't workout for a couple of months and I'd fall into a deep deep depression to the point of cutting off all contact from friends and family and eating nonstop. I think the depression is far worse just because once it kicks in it completely changes your personality while the social anxiety is something we can take measures to work around.

Nope. just because you read it somewhere, doesn't make it true. If i couldn't buss a nut in my teens, i'd probably be doing Heroine or something.

So what makes you think you would be alright in a Heroin lounge being social with a bunch of other fiends
sharing a needle when you couldn’t even handle family gatherings?
