It's not that they don't hide them, the difference is now we have a medium to display these behaviors to large audiences and it's easier to see. People make the same mistake when discussing instances of teachers getting caught fukking students, they believe this is a problem that's getting worse when in reality it's been happening but now it's easier to get caught with the paper trail that's created via text messages and social media.

What's annoying about people socialising in the style they want to?

They were enjoying themselves snapchatting and it only bothers you because you believe they should have been communicating or socializing in a more traditional way. This goes back to my point, if people were actually interested in socialising traditionally, that's what they'd do instead of updating their social sites. People are far less interested in directly communicating with others than many of you would imagine, in this era, people can take bits and pieces of "traditional" interactions and discard the unwanted parts like meaningless banter.
