think the problem is that it doesn't feel like a statement, and ppl always be mistaking statement pieces for classics etc, so ppl instantly think its underwhelming. personally think there are a couple of joints that stand as some of the best things he's ever released. think there is generally a greater clarity to his thoughts here-less addled-he seems better able to put words to the emotions. stylistically its almost a summary of the post pluto narrative arc that he been selling-a culmination, victory (or not in fewtch's case) lap, mop up? think its more a stepping stone to new ground but still stands well alone imo.
