For example.
If consumers care about pollution and wont buy from companies that pollute, you don't need laws against pollution(forcing social responsibility), it will be stemmed by the market mechanism itself.

exactly. once the river is polluted, the soil is filled with chemical run-off, local residents are extremely sick and their babies get born with serious defects, consumers can find this information about the company slowly killing the town and then they might stop purchasing from them.

why would you wanna stop that company from fukking up the environment in first place when it could all work so out beautifully with organic market forces?

Look at what you wrote "employ the poor and service the poor"

You don't have very high reasoning skills
:ohhh: That's a pretty nice 'liberal judo throw' you used there, switching low skilled workers with "the poor"(a still undefined term).:obama:

Anyhow, lets flesh this idea out.
First question is 'compared to what'? or 'as opposed to what'?:ld:

It's corporatism at it's finest.

Low skilled workers? A good amount of workers with multiple degrees and trades work low skilled jobs. You assume and use generalizations so much, its hard to take you serious.

Cronyism and Corporatism have failed the Capitalist state.

Ignoring the appeals to emotion littering this, it does encompass the basic idea while sneakily insinuating companies knowingly poison people, and that it wont happen with preemptive measures:ehh:

but to answer it, legislation ends up doing more harm over time(to the entire economy) and is much harder to get rid of.

No need to respond though, I know the idea of one dead child replaces all logic liberals have with righteous zeal and an anointed sense of self:wow:

When I say low skilled workers, I mean "low skilled workers", not people working low skill jobs...:snooze:

Then you are speaking in a vacuum, cause that's not the current reality.

Evidence? :ld:
you already know where i'm gonna go with this

Even though Israel takes a great deal of money from US in terms of direct foreign aid, “scrapped” military equipment that is really worth billions, one-sided contracts, and even charitable donations from Jews and Christians, according to Official Direct Assistance (ODA) Israel is one of the stingiest developed countries in the world. Israel is one of the richest countries on the planet with more than 10,000 millionaires, but gives nearly 10 times less than the world average and gives the 4th least of any developed nation per capita, only barely beating out much poorer countries like Poland, Hungary, and Turkey. So while Israel took in $3 billion from America in direct aid and tens of billions in the other aid measures mentioned above, they only gave $141 million in foreign aid to nations in need of assistance in 2010. While Bill Gates and Warren Buffet were pledging billions to Africa, the 40% of American billionaires who are Jewish, focused their charitable contributions on Jewish causes, which arguably need the money the least.
everyone knows the stereotype of jews is that they're stingy.

if there's emotion behind what i wrote, it's stemming straight from your worldview since i just described exactly what you (libertarians) want. no regulations, free markets, free reign, DO WHATEVER IN THE NAME OF PROFITS (and freedom), BABY!

and i wasn't "sneakily insinuating", i was outright saying it...cuz yeah, there are companies that knowingly poison people, contaminate land, pollute rivers, etc...they exist and we both know that.

And they should be punished. No one is saying they shouldn't, or that its ok. Lets be clear. :whoa:

Why? They are just doing what the market allows them. You just say punishing people for being socially irresponsible is the devil.
