west coast expanded soda like a fukking balloon. my grandparents retired to oregon and when my cousins and i came to visit after school let out for summer we eaating chili dogs and she asked me to get her a pop from the fridge. i though she was talking about otter pops and looked at her funny. then she mentioned the coke in there and i just instant disgust. since then its been fukk all other gerneral terms for cabonated soft drinks. its soda forever

Nope. The only place "up north" that says "pop" is the Midwest (and Canada). The entire Northeast (except for the Buffalo area) says "soda".
Also, aren't Southerners known for calling all sodas "Coke" lol?
I was born and raised in Michigan until 14, it was Pop then.
Moved to Georgia at 14. It was and had been Soda the entire time i’ve been here. Nobody looks at a damn Sprite or Ginger Ale and says “Give me that Coke”.

Coke is not an option. I think it used to be called soda pop back old days and shyt. So I’m thinking some places said pop and some said soda. I’m from Chicago and we say pop. But I got a lot of fam from st loiuis and they say soda. I find myself using both. Coke is retarded
