. Had to think ahead though 
. Some of these people struggle to do things like find and replace (I'm not kidding), so standing up all the pieces of this puzzle with proper configuration on their own was too tall of an ask. Better to let them fight with Docker setup instead.For the folks playing along at home, Senior/Principal is just a title. It doesn't always correlate with ability.

I like Hoboken as well. Its close to nyc and Hoboken will give you a city feel. A lot of young professionals live there

Interesting. They have just put a hiring freeze where I'm at. Though, from what I read and heard this is common across the industry right now. No talk of layoffs yet.
Feel bad for new grads looking for new jobs soon
I think we're still hiring new grad SWEs because I see messages occasionally about people needing a backup interviewer (I used to be an interviewer before they froze out our location
). I haven't checked other external positions. But I think we're in a tough spot because a big chunk of our workforce is around retiring age/years. Figuratively we can't afford to freeze hiring because when these MFs get cut or retire, we're fukked. Also we have a seemingly high number of contractors so our domain knowledge about our own shyt is spread so thin. We're too big to fail but the current trajectory is a massive L.
Hypothetically let's say you were walking into a new codebase, a small one.. Would you prefer to see heavily commented code, a comprehensive readme, or both
