Heard about this. Using Protocol Buffers which should make performance better than RESTful with JSON. From what i heard you should be able to call methods for a remote server as if it were local.

He explains it so well to me. Some times you need the right teacher. Some folks just regurgitate the wikipedia definition and you're left more confused than before.

Has anybody here used or know somebody that was enrolled in Thinkful, App Academy, or similar coding boot camps? A friend of mine doesn’t like his job and is looking to switch fields. I wasn’t sure how companies view graduates from boot camps as I’m not in the field. He’s also thinking about quitting his job to do it as opposed to doing it part time. How was the job search and how long does it take to really find a job

I got some Maven fukkery brewing that should allow other internal projects to layer right on top of our application and all they gotta do is add their dependencies to their dependency section and include my pom as a dependency. Mvn clean install and it'll spit out a Docker image without them needing to do extra work.

I need help programming brehs.

Does putting a shyt ton of images in spoiler tags affect load times on a message board or not?

1. Inspect the rendered page markup.

2. Watch the network to see if images are downloaded on click or not.

3. Check the page info (images) to see if they are preloaded.

Firefox is good for 1. and 3. (right click Inspect Element and menu:Tools -> Page Info -> Media)

Wireshark / tcpdump for 2.

My guess is yes - on this software (Xenforo v1.x).

im late but im in

I feel so proud of myself. I put it the work and hours to properly learn how to code and build software the right way (learning design patterns, algorithms and best practices of the languages I use). Plus I read a shyt ton of open source repos on github.

I finally got the opportunity to submit a PR on one of the most popular repos out there. It gunnered over 100 comments, got maintainers of the repo arguing like crazy

Never thought i'd get this far, plus now I code fulltime solving realword business problems using coding :wowjb:
