Called it on the first page Ward barely threw any right hands up top last fight, like none.
His shoulder wasn't right then. He rehabbed it a lot and got stem cell treatment on it.
Brehs, I'm sorry I didn't have much info before this one. I was too busy with work. But I was at the fight tonight and it was glorious. No one around me or in the arena seemed bothered by the stoppage or the punches. And I saw Kathy Duva and she had no problem til the bytchass CACs online started whining about it.
And Andre was merciful. He could uppercutted Kov's head off at one point and tee'd off before the stoppage, and he went to the body instead.
It was crazy that his strategy was to stay in the pocket and eat punches to counter. The fight changed when he stopped backing up early on. Took a lot of heart to decide to stand in there, knowing how hard Kov hit. Wow.
He's back at the top, where he belongs.
Btw, Rigo said he was going to start knocking guys out, and he delivered.

Didn't even know this fight was tonight, just saw the result and KO. Can't believe there was any controversy over that stoppage, only an idiot who's never seen a professional match or someone on some high key 
shyt would complain about it. Kovalev was basically out on his feet about to keel over at least 3 different times during that finishing sequence.
This is the same Kovalev who back in 2011 literally KILLED another man in a fight that went on too long and wasn't stopped early enough. The #1 rule of any combat sport is protect yourself at all times. If you're doing nothing but letting your body absorb repeated trauma against a trained killer it's the corner's or referee's job to keep you alive and stop the fight if need be. That's exactly what happened tonight, I'd say congrats to Ward for silencing any doubters with this rematch but of course I shoulda expected that some people would go outta their way to make up another BS excuse about how he didn't deserve the W somehow.

Yeah I think this is one of the best fights out there to be made. Stevenson and Kovalev were supposed to go at it but it fell through. @mr. smoke weed @LeVraiPapi know more about it than me. But I hope this one goes through so we can have a unification
