Filled for unemployment and starting job searching.
At my pay scale, I could get the highest possible unemployment payout, but that was small compared to my net income. So, it's a drop in income which had me job searching immediately. I didn't coast it for awhile.

Yeah I'm in the journalism industry, so either way, My pay aint high so it wouldnt be a huge lifestyle change for me

First job I was out of work for 4 months I kept filling out applications, going to job interviews, fairs etc. I then got hired for a job I didnt think I was gonna get.
This job lays me off 4 months later but offered me a transfer a few days later. I took the transfer and then got a huge pay raise 2 months after
