i had my phone wit a broken screen but a screen protector on my charger yesterday mornin and spilled an entire cup of pepsi on it.. .wrapped in napkins (left charger plugged in).. phone works lol.

You need to first soak the phone in distilled water in order to rinse out the coffee deposits that were left behind.

Then place it in the rice. Hope it works for you.
