The Surface pro 2 has an intel i5 in it. The tablet from dell has an intel atom in it. An intel atom is weak netbook status and can barely muster a full windows environment.

Wrong. Your thinking of the old Atom processors. The new Intel Atrom processors are actually really good.
These new baytrail quadcore atoms are no joke. And I hate atom cpus but these are very fast.

I was using the tablet all yesterday breh.using xbmc, plex,downloading torrents to my server,etc
shyt was running smooth.i thought it was gonna be slow when I multitasked cause of the 2 gigs of ram but I didnt have any problems at all.
Im not saying its as goods as the surface pro 2 but I would rather cop the venue 8 pro for $280 over spending $900 for the Pro 2

Do you have the Surface Pro 2? I briefly owned the Nokia 2520 and can attest to the extreme smoothness of Windows RT. But i simply couldn't pass up the goodness that is the Dell Venue 8 Pro. I hear M$ is subsidizing the price, so it will likely go up in price next year. Easily the best tablet deal on the market right now.

The Nokia is a very nice tablet, but i had to return mine due to some Wifi problems. However, i discovered this Venue Pro at the M$ store and fell in love. Far more functional than an RT device, simply cause it can run FULL WINDOWS and is essentially a PC in tablet form...with 10 hour battery life.
The next iteration with a true 1080p screen will be the one to get though.
I need to get my paper up I want to trade my 16gb ipad air for a windows tablet...I rather have a tablet then a full on windows is though. The asus t100 also has around 10 hrs life with a 10in screen and comes with a keyboard also runs full windows 8.1 os

Dell Venue Pro with a 3 year warranty from squaretrade. Might use the rest on a ps4 or Xbox one

So yeah, i just came across a Surface 2 today when i stopped by the Microsoft store, and ended up buying one. Couldn't help myself. They apparently just got in a batch and they were selling like fukking hotcakes. I think people are going to be shocked when the sales numbers are released on this thing.
Anyways, i just fired the bytch up and i'm impressed so far. I will post a full comprehensive review where i compare and contrast it to the Dell Venue Pro 8 which i also acquired last week.
