I heard that apps(are actually optimized for the tablet) and games run much better on the Ipad mini.

I haven't had the chance to play with a Mini so that may be true. The games I usually play are optimized for the nexus 7 though, for example the Shadow Guns series is pretty hot. The price and screen is why I picked up the nexus as opposed to the mini

depends what you want to use it for me its mostly to read book,comic or magazines so i went with the playbook for 150$
