No disrespect to KRS, but I never thought that he was that dope lyrically compared to Rakim and Kane. Granted I didn't grow up listening to him. I was too young or not even born..But my OG uncles and cousins were playing it heavy.

I went back and listened to KRS old shyt when I was a teen , and I personally didn't see how he matched up to Kane and Rakim. No shade to KRS, :whoa:

Breh, till you actually become a legend, who is a technical marvel at your personal interest.
You really can't try to say shyt to hustle breh.
Plus, you got a woat banner and he has a green poty banner.

If Wu tang didn't have this beat, would they have been as big?

No, because cream was one of the longest slow burn hit singles in the era it drew in.
It was one of the first three mainstream edgy rap is played during primetime and daytime rap records as well.
When, Rap was first allowed daytime and primetime spins on the radio.
When, before that rap was not played during day or primetime. unless you were generally heavy d, at the time.

No cape, just looking at you make a fool of yourself exponentially worse. than you typically do post to post everyday.
your delussion and failed narcissism is why you are in the spot you are in.
Plus, until you really get a grasp of this culture for real.
You are going to continue to be offbrand as hell.

............but I thought people only liked trap beats :patrice:

Wu tang created what trap is, almost singlehandidly.
Plus, horrorcore was singlehandidly revolutionized sonically by rza.
So, rza is singlehandidly how trap was built.
As the Wu solely and singlehandidly through actual artist slang based covert content.
manuevered around the cowboy edict culturally as emcees and rza as a producer/emcee.
To make it so that type of first person content gained cultural respect after the cowboy edict.

You know people try to dispute krs one as a classic self titled lp, tho.
Would not matter, krs replicated and did the same thing in the 2000's with Marley marl and adventures in emcee'n.
To go with his back to back classics in the eighties as well.

the best coast
i like rza's version better but after hearing this og flip all he really did was use gloomier drums and let the sample breathe

and the whole c.r.e.a.m. thing, pretty influential i guess

i wonder if it woulda made 36 chambers if this was released :patrice: couldn't even imagine wu tang with no cream

on a totally unrelated side note, are any of rza's computers lost in the "flood" still around, i feel like in 2016 they could recover most of it :jbhmm: or were those albums even real? :jbhmm:

in the light rza been looking real fishy recently:leostare:

This right here bruh....My older brother had Criminal Minded on vinyl, grew up listening to that shyt in Cali. Him and his potnas took that album SERIOUSLY bruh:damn: Criminal Mined, Elementary, The Bridge, 9mm....Flew out to the Chi and my older cousins would be spinnin that same muthafukkin record. KRS-One was that dude, influenced muthafukkaz like Spice 1 and others out here. He was making that hardcore street shyt muthafukkaz could relate to and at the same time tryna wake nikkaz up. Ghetto music, that shyt he was making was for "US" bruh. He dropped the DOPEST cautionary tale that you ever heard in yo life at the time. Made you think twice about ever tryna get in the game, lovin these money grubbin hoes, clothes, chains n whips.
