 breh no lie, they tried to lowkey accuse me of doing that too :rudy:..I was like you can check my locations at the time my account was charged.

wells fargo doin some foul shyt. they were prolly still charging your old card...and wells fargo was still deducting the money from your account when they werent supposed to. then you called them out n they like "oohh yeah our bad..."

That's probably what it was..I ain't press em though, they gave me my money back..so it was no problem..but I watch they ass carefully now.

Criminals somehow get their hands on the electronic information stored on a legitimate card’s magnetic stripe. Generally, it’s stolen from a retailer or payment processor’s database, as happened when thieves last year broke into computers at CardSystems Solutions Inc. Luckily for the criminals, CardSystems didn’t store just account numbers — it even stored customer’s secret codes that were never meant to be copied on magnetic stripes. Stolen “mag stripe” data is the holy grail for card thieves.

Then they take the stolen data and write it onto a new, blank card — a card that’s often plain white — and they’re off to the bank.

I remember getting a call from my bank about suspicious charges on my debit card. Thankfully they called me, asked some questions, and took care of it.

it had to been IHOP cuz that was the only place i had used my card all week... Got my funds back the next day with a new card..

Happened to me over a year ago with my credit card. I think it was when I bought some eye contacts online from a europeon website because my contact prescription had expired and apparently you dont need an Rx in europe for contacts :leon: . The site looked kind of shady but I thought :manny: Had my credit card calling me a day or two later asking about if I had stayed in some hotel in london cuz my credit card had been charged :wtf: They removed the charges and sent me a new credit card.

I was getting charged $7.99 from these chinese food spot I usually go to. It was charging my card $7.99 everyday, and I haven't even been to that spot in a month..I called the bank and had my card closed and sent a new one..the bank credited me back the funds..as soon as I got my new card, the next day I was still getting charged $7.99 from that same spot..the bank had to send the investigators and police to the chinese spot..Everything got cleared up though..

:duck:

the only way this could happen is if they had your account + routing number

you do know people like me have worked in banks before, right ? This is just flat out impossible unless they either had some kind of automatic system like paypal set up (which they didnt cause its just a chinese food spot) or you left ya check book/account information there (100% more likely what happened..)

I used to print out Direct Deposit forms for people to bring to their work place, that piece of paper had your routing number and account number on it, I cant even imagine how many irresponsible people just left that shyt in their car for everyone to see or just threw it away in a regular trash can instead of shredding it

I bet you are one of them people that leave their social security cards in their wallet as well :heh:

You should set up alerts with your bank to give you texts for suspicous charges.

I pay $99 a year for equifax to monitor my accounts. I'm not worried about charges because you can easily get those fixed. But if something hits your credit report you have a much harder time disputing it and clearing your name. It also let's me know of anyone tries to open up an account in my name.
