Drake has more Billboard charting singles than both of them and he isn't even 30 yet.... Jay and Em are both in their mid 40's and had like a 15 year head start...

screw the singles, Drake's got a long time to be on Jay's level. i'm talking catalog wise.

And drake also has more charting singles than aretha franklin, James brown, ray charles, and the beatles.

Are you prepared to use that same logic to say that he's more legendary than all of them too?

Goddamn, is this true? :dwillhuh: I knew the song was popular but I didn't know it was historically popular. It feels like Drake has had bigger songs than this.
The formula for billboard is all weird now becuz of streaming and Youtube. Like Flo-Rida has had bigger songs. Get Low by Yin Yang was much bigger than this.

I don't even think One Dance is bigger than We Fly High by Jim Jones yet

no, but his run is one to be reckoned with
he hasn't left the charts since 2009, and he has far more rap songs then he does pop
that says a lot when talking about his run as a rapper

If he isn't better than Jay then he's the closest one

nah Drake's not even close to him yet. give him about 5 years or until he reaches Jay's catalog. if he can keep being consistent releasing albums then he might be considered. he's doing a good job so far, but musically i don't think so. Views kind of turned me off from taking him serious, he's gone too soft for my liking.

I hear the argument about how the #s are inflated because of the rules.

Blacks make more $$$ now than we did in slavery times. It's not our fault slavery was abolished and we outchea makin guap now.

For u slow nikkaz:

Slavery=physical sales only

Freedom=Streams, physical sales, radio airplay
