You can be really dark skin with black features and still have way more than 10% non-black ancestry. Phenotype doesn't always correlate to genotype.

If you're a native black american then chances are you're close to 20% non-black (if not more).

Only people who have less than 10% non-African ancestry are typically located in West and Central Africa.
Most people in west and central africa have 100% african ancesty and if youre dark skin with typical african phenotype and no inmediate white people in your family youre probably closer to 10% than 20%

Oh, you think they are lying?

Maybe. I just don't get why they would like about that. But, who knows.
I mean they could be lying maliciously but they are probably just ignorant. My family is from where they are from and also hairstons but we arent related. The hairston plantation was huge and had hundreds of slaves so nearly every black person there is a hairston and they arent all related. Just because their family has mixed with white people doesnt mean they are the same family line which is probably closer to the assumption they jumped to. I doubt they have rigorosly looked at their family history to know for sure they made youtube videos for fun and people were saying they werent black so they probably just came to that conclusion and said it was good enough for a video. Sort of like how all black people are told they have a native american great grandparent or whatever other shyt. Its not a fact that they are lying "for no reason" they probably just dont know any better. I mean they could be the same hairstons but I doubt it.

Used to be a fan but they went Uncle Ruckus and started to get too political for my taste.

They dont like black people they did a collab video with Kali Muscle and they were looking ass disengaged and uncomfortable and shyt.
i used to be a fan of them as well, then they went full MAGA and I unfollowed them. They've gotten worse since then.

Oh - I'm sorry -- I definitely agree!

The reason I mentioned the Hairstons - was because their ancestors were more than likely enslaved on 1 of the 45 Hairston's plantations.

I think they reason they mentioned it - was not because they are descendants of the White (enslaver) Hairston's but the descendants of the enslaved on the Hairston's plantations. The book talks about how all those whose ancestors were enslaved on their plantations still have family reunions and gatherings. And many of their gatherings/family reunions include White Hairstons - the descendants of the enslavers.

Yeah so we agree, but in the last part the book must be mentioning a specific line of black hairstons because there are thousands of hairstons and that reunion shyt just doesn't happen to my knowledge.

I don't even understand DNA. It's confusing as hell -- and it seems like it's always changing.

Even with the HodgeTwins -- I am sure they haven't had any White ancestors since their ancestors were enslaved. As one of the twins mentioned the "Overseer" in the video. But, they are 58% African DNA / 42% Non-African.

Then look at Yvette Carnell -- people always calling her bi-racial - but she has two ADOS parents. Who hasn't had any ancestors still her ancestors were enslaved. She's only 36% Non-African and 64% African.

My mom and one of her brothers compared their DNA -- they have the same parents but DNA percentages are extremely different. Same thing happens with me and my brother - same parents. My brother has more of dad's DNA and I have more of my maternal line I guess.

Probably products of MGMs marrying and mating with MGMs.
