Few random thoughts on this...Idk why this moves the needle, let the shyt play out. I wanna see it go to trial but something tells me this case gonna take a year or two, maybe more.



General public and fans of Meg gonna treat the charges like a conviction. She’ll get a boost from it and talk her shyt until the case comes to a conclusion.



Tory fans gonna do the opposite. I don’t see him doing much successful musically between now and the end of the case. In the event he didn’t do it and Meg or her friend did, it’s definitely gonna get messy.



Not to mention, if one of them did it and Tory outed them publicly (especially before a case/conviction), most would be calling him a rat rn. Without a case or charges against either of them to back it up, he’d be looking silly right now. The whole situation fukked up and nuanced as hell.

Not sure if he was charged or indicted, but lost in all of this is the fact that in some states, a grand jury indictment can take months from the date of the incident. So the timing isn’t surprising if that’s the case.

They know the burden of proof is on the prosecutor, in order to charge a crime, you need evidence, especially in a high profile case. You know he will hire someone who is flashy and showmanlike to represent him. I want to see who he uses actually, but he will have a high paid lawyer. The idea that you cannot have any idea when a criminal indictment/complaint is laughable. Those are the facts, the trial is the battle of two versions of facts.

Not sure what point you're making, or implying that I am. Prosecutors, especially in an office like the Los Angeles County DA's office, don't bring high profile charges if they can't prove them. Prosecutors aren't supposed to bring cases that they don't think should be charged, in general, but high profile? They want a win. They won't miss on something like that. Obviously, they are going for a plea bargain, but they are ready to take it to trial, if needed. Tory would be a fool to do that.

they've lost many high profile cases in the past .. if he walks they will look foolish. They lost the Snoop case, they lost the O.J. case, they lost the case with that white actor who had supposedly offed someone in his house or whatever the fukk it was.. I could name more.

Evidence can be her wounds & word of mouth alleging Tory did it. Simple as that. Still doesn’t necessarily prove anything but it’s more than enough to get a grand jury indictment behind closed doors. “You could indict a ham sandwich” is a popular phrase for a reason.


GSR on Tory likely would’ve sped up the charges, and there were reports that there was none on him. If the cops didn’t test everyone’s hands/arms for GSR that night, then the case can be tainted already.


Burden of proof is on the state, but if there’s exculpatory evidence for the defense, it’s likely in the form of more word of mouth (Tory, the bodyguard or Megs friend testifying). So if he didn’t do it, his only real option is to go to trial.


This the LAPD we’re talking about though. Not like they have the most pristine history when it comes to diligence, integrity or hip-hop artists.


I’m no conspiracy theorist but it still doesn’t sit right that dude was threatening to out Interscope records (Jimmy Iovine) back in December to get out of his deal and now this.
