Very cohesive projects, with solid production, solid flows and solid lyrics throughout. Drake blends melody with 90s boom bap and southern influences aswell as a unique Toronto sound on his albums breh, the stories he tells are compelling and relatable too
I remember I was a drake hater during his Thank Me Later era, but that Take Care changed me. The kid is talented without a doubt.
There are lots of albums that fit that description and aren't heralded as classics.
I'm just going to be lazy about this argument and say that popular opinion backs my point, one of the main criticisms of Drake is his lack of classic albums.
Also, Drake isn't all that talented breh. A talented business man maybe.
But he doesn't produce, and he doesn't write all that much...or come up with his own flows...and he buys his RnB hits from legit RnB artists.
At this point, Drake is where he is in the game because he has a good head on his shoulders and knows what the people want.
