Nah, it was what both shows needed. The Simpsons got their viewers back thanks to the FXX marathon and Family Guy got theirs back too with this. I think this choice was more about bringing fans back to watching the shows again. Peter and Homer said it best, their separated by a half hour of![]()

Aye aye now..Brooklyn 99 is dope. Although at the time they made this episode, what the hell came on at 830??
But when the show was being developed idk if Brooklyn 99 had the spot at the moment. A lot of the shows that came on after the Simpsons never really lasted. Like the cartoon with Jonah Hill 


. They know damn well that movie wasn't strong enough to support a show ten fukking years later....

That thing was hard as shyt, unless you saw every episode of the marathon and stayed watching the Simpsons or you cheated and re-took it...
