As for why weve sucked long term - since the Nash era ended we've basically gone through 2 separate rebuilding processes in a row. The roster, GM, personnel, etc was reset to start the rebuilding, then a couple years later they didnt like the direction so they started over again from scratch, replacing everyone again. Then when it looked like this regime was about to start winning, they fukked up the roster and are just now in the rebuilding stages for the future with some great pieces.
As for why we're 0-4 and won't make the playoffs this season - just young as hell, not there yet as a team. New coach again, bunch of new players, new roles for guys that are too young to fully grasp them yet. We had 3 teenagers on the floor at the same time the other night, thats never been done. We actually played Thunder, Warriors and Clippers all pretty tough for most of the games. Okc and Gs in particular we were in control all game and blew it at the end with the kind of mistakes you expect young teams to make. Ideally we'll keep having these sorts of games, close and competitive with good teams, and hopefully we get a few wins over the year, while still losing enough to get another top pick to add to the core.
Focus has to be on the long game, where it should have been all along.
