1st piece you took in context was just me informing one, that we have a different admixture than the africans who went to the Carribean etc, because they were dealing with a different kind of white people. You do know every white person who participated in the slave trade didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes right? It was those differences that had them fight each other for hundreds of years. Plus many of those from those areas have more admixture with mongoloid types (native American, those they now call Hispanic) in contrast for us in america we only have about 2% native American/mongoloid blood in us. So those descendants of africa will look slightly different from us from america.
2nd comment was me pointing out how blacks in america are fully assimilated for the most part, as many of those from the islands, Brazil, etc hell some of them look darker and have more african features than a lot of us and they will say they Dominican etc but the point was many of us are assimilated trying to tell others what they are not. I think many of us think we were the only ones being called black negro and colored and this is not truth.

I know quite a few Puerto Ricans/Dominicans/Cubans etc. who will tell you without hesitation that they are BLACK. Not "Afro-Latino" (and to clarify, I'm not disputing the validity of the term, but there are folks who will say "Afro-Latino" to straddle the fence so to speak).
