Western nations has a history of illegally dumping waste to Somali waters hence the birth of the Somali pirates. THis was back in like 2013 and highlighted by that Tom Hanks "I am the captain now" movie (even the movie didn't explain why the Somalis were robbing them). Even if they arent doing it (China is like the most polluted country on the planet), Chinese vessels in African waters isn't a good thing for the Somali people.
