I haven't met any Somalis or Ethiopians until i moved to ATL. I've met a few ethiopian/somali girls, who have been cool but i cant stand this family of ethiopians that own all the gas stations within 5 miles of my buildingMf's are so rude and overcharge for everything. Thing about it is they know what they're doing bc some students dont drive, and HAVE to shop there. I hate shopping/buying shii there unless it's necessary.


I cant tell how they feel about blacks but i know they have some admixture. As characterized by the large forehead, hairlines, and some arab features.

I don't know a single African that does not operate with pride, and I attribute this to survival. Also, anti-blackness is a key issue in my community, but that's not also exclusive to Somali's. Many other 1st (and 2nd) generation African diasporas struggle with identifying with blackness and their is context to it.

Also, unless OP has been to Somalia himself, he is in no position to categorize Somalia as a whole as "hell on earth." I was in north Somalia just a few months ago and it is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.

I don't know enough about them to speak on their culture as a whole. I met a cute Somalian girl that goes to college out here. Seemed like a cool shorty and I hung out with her a few times. One day some shyt she posted popped up on my timeline. She talked about losing faith in black men and no longer finding them attractive. It was a diatribe that I ultimately found sickening.

I was confused at first because it seemed out of character for her. When we spent time together she seemed like she was into what I was about, always asking when we would see each other again, etc. I just chalked it up to her being young, and ignorant about the world around her. I decided to delete all her contact info and keep it pushing. By no means is this my assessment of all their women.
