OP I've been there, the best thing you can do is holla at this kids folks. Be respectful and it will work out. 9 times out of 10, kids displaying this kind of behavior come from homes where parents work more than they parent.

I never understood why parents get so worked up over “minor” kids fights. They’re kids.
I remember this parent coming up to the school BEASTING because another child scratched her child’s arms. These were 3 yr olds

I was a scrapper growing up so it’s in thier blood. They already know if someone hits you, hit them back. They hit you again, dog walk them

Just go talk to the teachers and try to hook up with the parents and have a sit down.
Don't say anything to the kid yourself because that can only cause more problems since kids sometimes lie you don't want the boy to go back and say you threatened him; which would be worser than what he did to your daughter since they're both kids it's different.
You're a grown man past (I assume) 35yrs old; don't do it just go talk to the teacher.
