i'm not up on grant but i just pressed play on grant's dimensions and i'm likin' what i hear so far

Yeah Charlie Parker and Herbie Hancock are the shyt. Love the bass on Yardbird Suite :wow:

Grant Green is a phenomenal player tho, I think youll like his style of playing. He pioneered a lot of Soul Jazz and Jazz Funk.

His song "Down Here on the Ground" is the song sampled by ATCQ for "Vibes and Stuff" from Low End Theory

all them nikkas was stans n thought quik didnt sample alot of shyt on the way 2 fonky album...

what fukked his head up... was me bringin this up



i useta send emails to the cats over at whosampled.com...with the thread with all of quiks samples...they jus now addin the shyt ...everything they had dealin with quik came from album credits...

now they got the missin shyt..i check every week n they addin everything we had slowly but showly...

i knew spice was from around the way..eiht has a couple of kids that live down in texas..40 n all the bay area nikkas would come down for mean green..n they had southwest wholesale n pen n pixel accounts..n ol school cat mad hatta useta always have end up at screw house

me n the cats i ran with at the time..useta run into dj quik..dj unknown, slip and a couple of others at the record shops all the time...sigs n vinal always had the good shyt..


i knew of the samples because...my uncles would always stop whatever im playin and be like nikka that aint shyt but betty wright(when i was playin tha hoe in u).. n they pull out their records..n give me a crash course..

so whatever he had ..be4 he got his 35yr sentence i got

i tripped out when i discovred blow fly..n all the shyt quik used from him..

my uncle got some ears ...he can pull out the og so damn fast
