Yeah Charlie Parker and Herbie Hancock are the shyt. Love the bass on Yardbird Suite

Grant Green is a phenomenal player tho, I think youll like his style of playing. He pioneered a lot of Soul Jazz and Jazz Funk.

His song "Down Here on the Ground" is the song sampled by ATCQ for "Vibes and Stuff" from Low End Theory
