1) In many cultures, marriages are forced/arranged. Romance can't exist in those conditions.
2) You don't need romantic feelings to be sexually attracted to someone, smash and reproduce.

My argument was more so parting from the principle that in most cultures and subcultures "purity of a woman" is a thing for a reason. Forced/Arranged marriages exist precisely because of the value of virginity. But yes you're correct that sex and marriage have little to do with love.

Your assertion that romance can't exist in forced/arranged marriages is wrong though. But I'm not about to get into an argument over that.

My original point was; where are we trying to go as a society? Change happens whether people want to or not, but whether that change is good or bad is up to those that affect it.
