In the end this doesn't even have to do with the NBA. This is all about how the US government has handled this virus.

This total thing has been a shyt show. I mean are folks looking at the daily deaths and infections? The shyt looks like a video game high score every day. Yet the administration says nothing and southern states have been dragging their feet to protect folks and using the virus as a political football.

The powers that be are going to look back on this and realize they couldn't have handled this shyt any more horribly.

how would you suggest they handle it? I’m not saying it’s perfect but I can’t think of anything that’s a good plan other than canceling the season. With billions at stake I don’t see any of these leagues doing that.

The league is fine. They expected numbers to increase in proportion with the rest of the world (during January) and have made contingencies. The NFL was canceling and shifting games every week for half the season.

A bubble isn’t happening any time soon. Next month (and the subsequent months) should be much smoother.

Ive never heard of the NBA having an emergency board of governors meeting and coming with new rules this fast. They did not expect to postpone this many games. They clearly have a problem on their hands.

That’s definitely the cycle but it breaks the cycle when Adam Silver and the NBA can’t deliver the stars and product we expect. Things can get bad

...for the players. They are the ones who are gonna suffer the most if this goes south. Owners got Billions with a "B" and most have other sources of income. Fans got Pornhub and real life shyt to worry about. If this shyt doesn't work out they are gonna be the one's not making money AND having future earnings depressed by future caps either not increasing or actually decreasing.

Just retire my nikka. You’re 35, made your $ and is planning anyway. Go.

Being a grown man means that you are above sacrificing in order to make millions in a the midst of a pandemic that has claimed the lives of millions and livelihoods of millions of others? Like you really think not playing and not getting paid but being able to do as you please is the superior option? But like you said, the nikka still playing though :mjlol:.

nikkas don't want to play in a bubble and that is understood. But if you aren't gonna have that, that means the onus is on you as an individual to be disciplined and consider the greater good...or not play. It's pretty simple...you gotta give something to get something. I am usually pro-player but they looking bad on this one.
